I've seen tons of variations online but here's what I did for my first one....
Tropical Green Monster1 mango
3/4 cup [uncooked] baby spinach
ice cubes
3/4 cup unsweetened Almond Breeze
little drizzle of agave
I blended it all together in my Magic Bullet, poured it into my maragarita glass
I drank it before heading to the Tuesday night Bible Study that I teach and it definitely held me over until I got home...3 hours later.
Today I think I'm going to try a Strawberry Banana Green Monster.
Besides Oh She Glows, another blog that I am loving [and getting TONS of great healthy food ideas from] is Fitnessista. I got the ideas for breakfast cookies and healthier guacamole from her!

Oooh...I read about green monsters on another blog. I must try them! Your recipe sounds delish!
ReplyDeleteOoh, that sounds great. Minus the mango, as I'm allergic. Hmm, I may have to see if I can make this another way.
ReplyDeleteYou're brave! I don't know if I'll be trying it. :)
ReplyDeleteP.S. I LOVE my Magic Bullet!!
Hmm...this sounds interesting. I think I'll pass the recipe on to my husband for him to try. Sounds like something he'd really like. I'm not sure what Almond Breeze is though. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteOMG! I am SO gonna try this! It sounds sooooo yummy! Matthew is like repulsed by spinach, but I love it.
ReplyDeleteSo, I was telling me friend about Green Monster and she was telling me that she has stopped eating meat, which reminded me of when you stopped eating meat in high school and I did it too, for support. Do you remember that? And then you told me you had eaten a double cheeseburger from McD's? LOL! Good times, good times.
I want to try this, looks SO good!!
