The Way to His Heart

Happy Monday! How was your Valentine's?
 Mine was wonderful!
Thankfully I married a man who is very good with holidays.

I had to work on Saturday.
 {Booooo!}
I came home to this:
{Yaaaaay!}{Yes, that's painters tape around the windows. Yes, we're still painting. Don't judge me.}

Isn't he so wonderful? Love him and LOVE my new Coach!

He wanted me to take a picture of him with my gift to him...

FYI, I'm not a horrible wife.
{Atleast not today.}
This is an IOU for a white gold cross necklace which he's been wanting.
{You'd think it would be easy to find a simple white gold cross necklace for a man...
but you'd be wrong.}

I also made him a ton of goodies over the last few days...

Treaties for my sweetie...
A pasta dish similar to what he grew up on in Louisiana...
{It didn't photograph well but it sure tasted good. If you like spicy, you should make this.}

Valentine's Pancakes...
His favorite from our honeymoon and recent cruise...
{PS: In my humble opinion, this is the best rum cake I've ever had. Please make it. I used this recipe, omitting the nuts.}

And a chicken parmasean by candelight...

Oh and we went to a delicious local restaurant on Saturday night. And we have a church Valentine's Banquet tonight...Wow, food overload.

So what did you do for Valentine's day??

  2. When you start the adoption process??? Is there something I don't know?? :) Or just future plans?

    I try to remember that people don't mean things the way they sound, and that I am sure that at some point I said something that wasn't correct "adoption language." But some things are just ridiculous!
