.the happiest place on earth.

In my position I travel frequently.
There are some not so glamorous aspects.
I spend lots of time in airports and experience frequent delays.
I spend lots of nights in hotel rooms. Alone.
I eat up eating higher calorie foods because I'm not at home to prepare them myself.
I have to drag around heavy bags and {trade show type} displays.
I may sound like it but I'm not complaining.
I really do like what I do and I understand that its just the nature of the job.
And, usually, my job has great perks.
I don't sit behind a desk 40 hours a week.
When I am sitting behind a desk its in a really nice office that is right down the street from the California State Capital.
I get to do one of my favorite things: talk to people.
Being new to California, I've gotten to learn about my new state by actually seeing it in real life.
I've gotten to go to some great events such as the Disneyland Security Agency Christmas Party, and that time I got to watch a San Francisco Giants game from a pretty awesome suite.
I have coworkers that I really truly like.
My job definitely has its perks.

The best perk of them all is happening today.
My organization is having a half day event at the Disneyland Hotel - half day, which means there will be time afterwards to - get excited! - play in the parks.
Ahhhh.....so excited.
Not many places or events make me giddy but Disney is definitely an exception.
This will be my first time to the Disneyland resort but I have literally been to the Disney World Resort hundreds of times.
I grew up going to Disney World every summer with my family, promising that, when I "grew up" I would work there.

And then, for two summers in college, I did! Oh, the Disney College Program.

{It doesn't pay very well but if you are still in college, I highly recommend that you do this program. Yes, even though I had to wear this heinous uniform. In July. In Florida. In ridiculous humidity.}

I had so much fun, learned a lot about hospitality and creating memorable experiences AND made some of the best friends.

Disney really does have a special place in my heart and I can't wait to take my kids to Disneyland and Disney World someday!

Do you have some special Disney memories?
