one year anniversary of living in Sacramento,
I've been thinking a lot about
all the things I love about Sacramento.
We knew that we would be moving here
about 18 months before we actually moved
so when we finally got here
we were so excited and wanted to soak everything.
I think we're still
in the honeymoon phase with Sacramento
so the love list is pretty long.
One of the things that I love most is the
culture, the people, the opportunites, the creativity.
Exhibit A: Stitch Swap
Hosted by my friend Ashlee and her friend Liz
{who I don't know but I'm sure is fabulous},
Stitch Swap is an opportunity for girls in Sacramento to swap
clothes/shoes/jewelry/bags,
have some yummy snacks
{okay, let's be honest, my plate looks more like a meal}
and meet new people.
I went with my sister and our friends Kassie, Kate and Danielle.
For some reason I didn't take any pictures of my new stuff but
let me assure you
I got some good stuff.
And see our new friend Merritt in the second picture?
He was precious and really excited to be in the picture.

Want to host your own swap party?
Team Giles just posted a How-to on Swaps.
And don't you worry,
there is much more to come about my love for my city.
What do you love about your city?

Happy Belated Birthday! I'm sorry I didn't get the chance to comment on your actual birthday post! I'm so glad that you are enjoying your new city! You are an inspiration to me because you've done so much and met so many people in such a short time.
ReplyDeleteMy friend does this clothing swap thing and she always comes in to work wearing the cutest stuff. It sounds awesome!
Kate, thank you for all of the sweet, sweet comments on my blog! We just moved back to where we grew up, which is a smaaaalllll town, so no stitch swaps, but we love it anyway. Around here, people could swap....livestock? Tractors? Recipes for homemade jam? :)
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday!
Yay!!! Love your photos, friend. So glad you came, swapped, and conquered ;)
