It is currently 4:07pm PST and it has happened.
The afternoon crankies have hit.
The "I don't want to work anymore. I just want a treat!" crankies.
The craving du jour?
S'mores.
Probably due in large part to the fact that I keep seeing variations on Pinterest.

In a whining voice I turn to my partner in crime coworker Danielle
and ask her how probable she thinks it is that if I walk downstairs
someone will be have set up a fire pit on L Street across from the State Capital
and be handing out free s'mores.
She apparently has the 4pm crankies too so she simply says - very dryly, I might add -
"Doubtful."
"Oh really?" I shot back in my cranky voice.
"About as likely as coming upon a food truck that not only just has cookies but is giving them away for free??"
You see, my friends, that is exactly what happened to us on Friday.
Hilton Hotels, which is my hotel chain of choice,
was giving away free cookies to announce their new DoubleTree by Hilton location.
So, annnnyways, I say that to say:
It. could. happen.
I'll keep you posted about a S'mores on the Street sighting.
