The theme that we’re working with is seeking God through the struggle.
Thus far we’ve focused on how to seek Him
but I think we need to back up and lay the foundation that we WILL seek Him.
When times get hard, we will seek Him.
When our world seems to be falling in around us, we will seek Him.
When things that we never thought would happen to us happen, we will seek Him.
When it feels like there is no one, we will seek Him.
We will trust Him to protect us and provide for us.
“What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us…Were we able to extract from any man a complete answer to the question, ‘What comes into your mind when you think about God?’ we might predict with certainty the spiritual future of that man.”
-A.W. Towzer, The Knowledge of the Holy*
Do you trust Him? Do you believe that He is able?
Trust in the Lord and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
Take delight in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your ways to the Lord;
trust in Him and He will do this:
He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn,
your vindication like the noonday sun.
Psalm 37: 3-6
Be still before the Lord
and wait patiently for Him;
do not fret [worry, express discontent, to become worn or corroded, to move in agitation] when people succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes.
Refrain from anger and turn from wrath [deep resentment, punishment as a result of anger];
do not fret – it leads only to evil.
Psalm 37: 7 – 8
The Lord makes firm [not yielding when pressed, securely fixed in place, not shaking or trembling] the steps
of those who delight in Him;
though the stumble, they will not fall,
for the Lord upholds them with his hand.
Psalm 37:23-24
{Amplifications my own}
Maybe you’re not in the midst of a struggle right now.
Maybe you have never encountered great struggles.
I’m sorry to tell you that you will.
Maybe not today and maybe not tomorrow but at some point, you will.
If you are in the midst of a struggle right now, my heart hurts for you
but it also rejoices with you for this opportunity.
You have such a great opportunity to grow in your faith right now.
When we’re struggling or faced with horrible circumstances, we are faced with feelings of desperation.
You have options about what you can fill that desperation with.
But I urge you to be desperate for Him.
Learn from my mistakes and trust that He is the only thing that satisfies.
He is the only foundation that is firm in the midst of the storm.
Let Him reveal Himself to you in new ways.
But God's truth stands firm like a foundation stone with this inscription: "The LORD knows those who are his," and "All who belong to the LORD must turn away from evil."
2 Timothy 2:19

I completely agree with everything you said and I'm so glad to hear that that is how you feel. God told us that we would have trials in this life! We have to cling to him and his word and his promises.
